What SOC 2 Type II Means
SOC 2 Type II is an auditing standard developed by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). Unlike Type I (which evaluates controls at a single point in time), Type II evaluates controls over an extended period — typically 6-12 months — providing stronger assurance that security practices are consistently maintained.
